We work closely with other organisations to offer workshops and training. Past partnerships include Birkbeck University (which held a series of learning cafés) and Barclays Bank and the East London Business Alliance, which held CV writing and interview technique workshops as well as a self-development workshop at Barclays Bank headquarters.
Community Events​
​
Open seven days a week, our centre plays an important role for those living in the Royal Docks area. We currently offer a wide range of activities including a year round early years play project, women support services, support for parents, over 50’s social club and activities, training and community education, healthy cooking and well-being, leisure and sports activities, trips and outings and seasonal activities and celebrations.
Activities
We offer activities for all age groups which include childcare, social activities, a Parents & Toddler Group, Community Cafe, Conservation & Biodiversity events and more. Take a look at our regular activity sheet to find out more information on our regular activities.
Older People's Projects
Our work with older people regularly reaches over 100 members. Examples include Computer Classes, Tai Chi, Yoga, Chair Exercises, Short Mat Bowls, Bingo, Health & Well being Workshops and information sharing. Even if you just want to meet people and make new friends, come on over and get involved.
After School Club (ASC)
Our Ofsted Registered ASC offers a pick up from school service, Monday - Friday 15:00 until 18:00 during term time, for children aged 4-12, attending Britannia Village, Drew, Gallions, North Beckton and St Joachim’s Primary School.
Our Staff are all DBS/ CRB-checked, qualified and well experienced.
With over 7 areas of play which includes 3 outdoor and 6 indoor spaces, we keep children busy with multiple activities which include sports, soft play, art and craft, homework club, cooking and more.
Children are provided with a snack once pick up from school from our Community Cafe. Special dietary and allergies catered for.
Holiday Schemes​
​
Our Holiday Provision operates during half-terms, Easter and the summer holiday and is available for children aged 4-12, Monday - Friday 10:00 until 18:00 during school holidays. We have an optional Breakfast club from 8am.
With over 7 different areas of play and outings every Thursday and Friday, there
will be lots of activities for your children to get involved in.
